Living Shoreline - Featured Project
For over 20 years, Shoreline Design, LLC has been building successful living shoreline projects. The Holly Farms Conservation Easement is a unique property owned by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and includes 2,200 LF of undeveloped shoreline along Whitehall Bay just south of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Annapolis, MD. The Living Shoreline project was designed by Bayland Consultants & Designers, Inc. and funded by Anne Arundel County. The site is located in the Severn River Tidal Watershed and the work included removal of the existing failed bulkhead, installation of segmented stone sills and breakwaters and planting of wetland grasses to create nearly 2-1/2 acres of tidal wetlands.
Shoreline Design LLC specializes in the design and construction of shoreline erosion control projects. We own and operate equipment uniquely suited for installation of stone and sand in soft shoreline areas.
